Seems a little pricey for how little you get, you can get much better for the same or slightly more, such as the Dell refurbished website

Comparing Dell to Lenovo is crazy work.

Nothing wrong with Dell Latitude laptops if we're comparing business models. In any case, this is a 4 year old laptop with nothing great in the specs. Seems one could find something newer (but still used) for around the same price.

Sure, feel free to find and link to something newer with discrete graphics, 14", 2x TB 4, and a ThinkPad-esque build quality.

If a Thinkpad is your thing, then this is a fair price for a refurb. If a newer computer with better specs is your thing, then spend about $50 more and you'll get something that's newer or faster. Might not have dedicated graphics though. But then again, dedicated graphics that are four years old will not be impressive. They'll do okay though.

You make it sound like the T500 is some sort of high performance GPU. It's not. An integrated AMD 780M is a better performer. Plus, T500 drivers are optimized for CAD. And, it's a used, 4 year old laptop with likely high mileage. My guess is if you're a user with a $450 budget, TB4 ports and their pricey accessories are not on your radar.

This Reddit thread is full of people saying this model runs hot, and cannot handle CPU/GPU tasks without throttling:

Just noticed that 1 year warranty is through some Canadian company (CNB Computers). Good luck with that.
