Fyi, i bought the last woot deal in excellent condition, it came with a scratch, a really cheap band and charging cable (temu quality). The battery was 100% but most likely a cheap low quality replacement.

Couple questions. How does it stand up to water? The new ones have 10atm. Do you think changing the battery affected the water seal? This isnt that old do you think it was just returned scratched and the battery wasn't changed?

I ordered one from Woot as well and same issue with the cheap band and flimsy charger. Although I don't notice any scratches I do see a bit of dust around the action button. Checked Apple coverage and it was activated on Sept 2024 and has AC+ until Sept 2026. Not sure if I can even use the AC+ if it is associated to someone else's account. Still debating if it is worth to keep this or just bite the bullet and get a new one.

Wild. I bought a series 8 several years ago in a similar deal and the same exact thing happened. I kept the watch and didn't notice anything, but it was super suspect why it came with a cheap charger and band.

I bought a series 9 2 years ago and wear it everywhere and it still doesn't even have a scratch on it. I'm not doing any serious labor with it on but for just running errands and stuff they hold up really well.

All of Apple's warranty (standard or AC+) are tied to the serial number so it follows the device.
