DJI drones, specifically, are not banned. The 2024 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) applies to all foreign-made drones that don't pass a 'Security Audit' before Dec. 23, 2025. The drones that have already gone through the FCC vetting process are exempted, so only new models are effected.

Any foreign-made drone that has received prior FCC approval, like DJI's Mavik 4 Pro,Mini 5 Pro and Neo 2, are not banned and you can still buy them and their repair parts.

Decent deal for a high end hobbyist drone.

Though I got the Potensic SE for $100 from the eBay Christmas sale and in reviews the video quality trades shots with this. Camera stabilization isn't as good though.

Cheap enough my 8 year old son has fun flying it and flies very stable I don't have to worry he'll crash it.

Seems like a lot of DJI deals lately, at least for the mini.

Any thoughts on whether the newer minis are worth a bit extra? Few days back, the mini 3 fly more was on sale for $575.

I love my mini 4k and ended up buying extra batteries later. The only thing I need is the charger because without it you charge the battery one by one while it's in the drone. This seller I don't know, I got mine from beach camera through Amazon and they were great.

More and more places not allowing drones. Went to New Zealand last month, the drones are banned pretty much entire country. At this point I don't see the point to have a drone anymore.

The DJI mini 3 is an upgrade to this mini 4k. The 4k is older tech
