The heat gun w/o the battery and charger is on sale for $99, which might be a better deal.

I almost got this as my free tool with the mid torque impact wrench last week. There's no way I would pay this much for it.

Yep. I saw this 'deal' before it got posted here and laughed. The heat gun is probably one of the most mediocre tools in the M18 lineup. Even this $265 price is insulting, nevermind the $369 'msrp'

Yeah, that's a substantially better deal. Honestly those old 5.0 batteries are pretty reliable, but I'm surprised anyone is buying them for more than $50. And let's not even talk about the surplus of chargers that everyone has lol

I'd have to argue that the 5.0's are reliable. You'll get the red/green blinking lights of death soon enough with those 5.0s.
