I have a low ceiling basement office and a 42" TV I use as a tertiary (documentation) display. I'm tempted, for that specific purpose, but I don't need a powered solution and the price just feels excessive for my needs.

I applaud you for your self-control on Slickdeals. The 50% off by itself would've got me if I needed one.

Tempted to set it up in my garage for TV/music while working or exercising out there. I could plug it in to the outlets for my lights so everything powers down when the lights are off. If only I had enough time to spend out there to justify it. 🫤

I have a Sam 65" on the wall. This would be great for floor work since I can't see the wall.

But, cool gadget, but still too high of price imo

i really want an outdoor tv. could this work to mount a small tv under the eaves?
are outdoor tvs more susceptible to damage from elements? id put a cover or something on the tv for the vents...

something small like less than 30"

There are different TVs for outside (eg the Samsung Terrace models). You could risk a standard set with a cover (price of the outdoor ones is crazy)...
