Based on the product information and customer feedback, this Aleene's Quick Dry Tacky Glue is not recommended for fabric repairs. According to the manufacturer, it's not suitable as a fabric glue because it's not washable.

This tacky glue works great with:

Paper and cardstock for crafts
Various craft materials and decorations
Lightweight craft projects
MDF and wood for dollhouses
Small pebbles and decorative elements
For ripped chair fabric, you'd need a dedicated fabric glue or upholstery adhesive that can handle fabric flexibility and potential washing.

i've used these for book nook kits and worked pretty well compared to the original formula. They dry much quicker than the original formula
