NVIDIA's RTX 5070 Ti is getting harder to buy, and the squeeze is showing up at checkout. The RTX 5070 Ti end of life chatter is being driven by board partners pulling back though, with no clear public announcement from NVIDIA.
ASUS has put its own RTX 5070 Ti models into end of life status and says it has no plans to produce more units because supply is too tight. That leaves shoppers fighting over whatever inventory is already out there.
ASUS stops building its cards

After Hardware Unboxed posted its report, it added a clarification that matters. ASUS didn't say NVIDIA told it the RTX 5070 Ti was discontinued. ASUS said its own 5070 Ti cards are EOL because there's very little supply.

As much as I wish I had a MC near me....I don't downvote deals because of it. Personally, I've never understood that mindset. Do those people think every single link on every single page of the internet needs to be personally relevant to them?

For example, as I am writing this comment there is a deal to the right of this very dialog box.
"Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer (PlayStation 5)." I don't want to play Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer nor do I own a PS5.

Should I downvote that deal or scroll past it? My lack of interest (or access) has zero to do with the slickness of said posting. In my mind, I keep scrolling on, like an adult, as opposed to passive aggressively lashing out at a poster who took time out of their day to inform others of something they felt might be of interest to a segment of this site's userbase.

*Not saying this is your mindset, just I do not understand the mindset you seem to be referring to.

The only Microcenter that has this card in stock in the entire country is in St. Louis Park, MN -- 4 in stock.

Yo mods. Why can't we hide posts from specific vendors/businesses/companies? I don't live near one. These MC deals are nothing but a tease.

The ideal solution should not require any user input. Slickdeals should be able to incorporate a basic filtering feature for deals based on keywords. For example, if I didn't live near a Micro Center, I would want to be able to hide that business based on keywords ("Micro Center") in the title or the link that is shared for the deal. Same with any product you dislike, for example if you don't need dishwasher pods at the moment or don't prefer "Dawn" compared to Finish (or don't need DEWALT cordless impact wrenches...).

Slickdeals auto-inserts their own affiliate link every time a deal is posted. However, they don't allow certain deals to be hidden, likely because they would rather users have less customization and the small chance that they change their mind and click on something they don't need or want.

I agree, it would be nice to be able to filter out certain keyboards (or hide some "deals" that seem to repeat every...single...day....), but 99.9% of websites don't work like so I am not going to grab the pitchforks here because this one follows the same pattern. I guess SD could be better then the rest, but is it fair to hold them to a grossly higher standard than we blindly accept elsewhere? I think not;

FWIW, any MC deal should say Micro Center. That should be a huge read flag to skip it in both of our cases. Like I did with Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer for the PS5

P.S. If I had the ability to exclude things, that might take up 99% of my SD time. Getting rid of things I didn't want to see, not actually hunting for deals. For example, on GG Deals. I have 8057 things on my ignore list, vs 541 items on my wish list. That kind of power might be dangerous on SD...at least in my case!

Microcenter and its been out of stock at mine for weeks.
YMMV. I was just there last night(mayfield location) buying a Gigabyte $650 MO27U2... and they were OOS on any 5070ti below $850

Saved me some money as I would have likely snagged a 5070ti too.

Originally I ordered a PNY at my Microcenter when there were 6 left; just to reserve one, that was a few hours after HUB video dropped. Arrived to pick up my order around 1:45 PM EST (Friday) or so when I went a guy looked at me looking at all the empty 5070 TI spaces and asked if I needed help, I said I ordered a PNY but I wanted a Prime; he checked in the back and said nope, and magically when I refreshed the page there were 2 in stock at the Flushing store, and 4 in my store because they just got a shipment. So if you're attempting to get a 5070 TI and you're in NY; I'd think a safe bet to try would be Friday a little after noon. I'm not sure about other locations.

I would have not held them to such a "high" standard if they didn't both have so many promoted deals (and regular deals not labeled as "promoted" that are actually promoted) while also making all links be affiliate. Hiding certain categories or deals would not take up 99% for me (I guess somehow it would for you), there are certain things that I have no interest in, so hiding them would just be a 10-20 minute job.

I see why SD would not implement it since no filter rewards overconsumption therefore leading to more purchases. If I bought a PSU recently I'm pretty much set for the next 5 years right? So I would easily hide "power supply" but not consumables like cereal...

Anyway Slickdeals is far more likely to get rid of all the sponsored deals before they implement any advanced features...
