This Milwaukee 19 piece 1 half inch drive SAE impact socket set is drawing attention as a clearance buy for homeowners and anyone needing larger SAE sizes. The set is useful for plumbing and water heater work, and the socket size markings are easy to read. The case and cage locked checkout process came up repeatedly, and the price varies by store, with some locations still at $89 while others ring up at $55. The main hesitation is value, since cheaper deep impact sets exist and adapters can add bulk and reduce torque.
The set has been observed ringing up for $55 at local stores, making the clearance price achievable at checkout.
The kit includes larger 1-1/8 through 1-1/2 sockets that can extend coverage beyond a smaller 12-piece 3/8-to-1-1/16 set.
SAE sockets can be useful for homeowner plumbing work, including using a 1-1/16 socket for replacing anode rods in a water heater.
Milwaukee impact sockets can be easier to use because the sizes are readable directly on the sockets.
The clearance price appears to vary by location, with some stores still showing $89 while nearby stores show $55.
Socket adapters can add bulk, reduce torque, and may be prone to breakage during use.
In-store clearance tags may show $89 while the register rings up $55, which can make the lower price harder to verify before checkout.
The 1/2-inch socket case can be bulky, which may be inconvenient for storage compared with slimmer case designs.

5 left at West Hills home Depot at $55. I just grabbed one. They are in the cage in the Milwaukee display between the cashiers and tool area.
How useful do you think those larger bits would be? So far I haven't needed anything that large
