How is the relative price to other deals. Hard to tell based on the discount % since they could have higher price to begin with.

That's a great price but the memory is too slow.

I looked on micro center another similar computer was $2500 same ram and GPU. Yes wish it was 64gb. 3 free slots. Micro center has 5080 for about $1400 so the rest of this PC is $800.

Was comparing it to a $2600 machine also at micro center to get a feel or relative discount. PowerSpec G757 Gaming PC
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7GHz Processor; NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7; 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM; 2TB Solid State Drive

Best Buy $2450 for similar build (cpu a lot weaker ?). https://www.bestbuy.com/product/i...c=pdp_page

So far so good on the comparison. This dell is 1000
Watt power supply so you cannot use 5090 at all

Nice deal, but no Micro Center around me. Was not able to get price match on dell.com as Micro Center does not ship it.

What does this mean? I am not versed in PC. I do know I cannot upgrade to 5090 in the future and Alienware is not DIY upgrade friendly but price is good

Good price but Dont like the dell reference version of the 5080 but still is a 5080. Ram stick u will get those ugly green stick with no heatsink. Case, Mobo and psu are proprietary.
i would rather pay a little more and get a powerspec microcenter with the same spec. If you ever thinking on upgrading in the future.
dell alienware warranty is great if you just keeping this system.

It shows option for oc1 and oc2 in the bios how can I confirm for you? Also states only available with dell memory. I made purchase last week and wanted an affordable prebuilt.

the real question is with inflation is this a deal in the current moment not whether or not it's been lower in the past.

It was lower hardly a month ago, not half a year ago. There's been not much inflation in the past month. It's a simple search in SD bar that you can do yourself.
