The motor oil geek?

It's a phenomenal oil. Literally just drained it out of my Corolla today and switched to Edge high mileage 5W30 for my aging engine and because I got an awesome rebate on it.

But the gtl base oil in ultra platinum is very stable in extreme applications. One of the best bang for the buck oils

Ultra Platinum is awesome oil and highly rated. I had grown up thinking old Pennzoil was crap. It wasn't until I got into racing in 2016 that my mechanic pointed me towards ultra Platinum and platinum oils. All my cars have been on this oil since!

With last year rebate it was $15 off from 5 quarts which brought the price to $30 for 10 quarts

With $30 rebate Ultra was $11.50 for 5 quarts last year. $26.50 Walmart price for 5 quarts and $30 Pennzoil rebate.

Are you sure it was Ultra? I still have the receipt I bought it for 29.44 plus taxes at my local Walmart

Yes, it was Ultra on Rollback $26.50 at Walmart for 5 quarts. Rebate on Ultra was $30 (10 quarts purchase). Rebate on Platinum was $25 (or $20) as I remember. Pennzoil usually starts rebate in April.
As of today is $26.50 at Walmart
