I've bought the original ninja foodi 5-1 about 5 years ago and I cannot tell you how many times I have used it, for literally everything. It's my go to. Highly recommend at this price.

It's not teflon... the grill plate is ceramic coated.

Agree. It is extremely versatile. Bought it as an air fryer. We make a lot of chicken breasts and even steaks (searing on the grill or stove) in ours. With the temperature probe is the game changer imo.

It's a great device but I've stopped using it over the years. The cleanup isn't worth the trouble when I have an actual grill.

I mainly used it for flanken style short ribs like kalbi and it did a great job. But, it makes a mess on the grill plate. Cleaning it isn't hard just time consuming, using a real grill tastes better and nothing to clean.

The airfryer function works great but if you're just going to be using the airfryer there are better airfryers to get than this. This unit is great for people who don't have the space for an actual grill and multiple countertop appliances.

I'm sure others will talk about the grilling and air fryer function, but this also makes pretty decent jerkey in dehydration setting. You can get little racks to stack up layers to make larger batches.
