I didn't buy these, but I bought a different pair that were just under $11. I thought they were surprisingly nice for that price.

Super comfy, true to size, plenty room. I bought several pairs of thee type Avia at Christmas time. All similar $10 /12 bucks. Great for around the house, put house shoes to shame for me. I don't run or cross country so should last a season or two. If they weren't lime I'd buy these in a minute.

Is it comfy for only an hour then just not comfortable after that?

They're pretty comfortable. I walk a few miles a day in them with no issues.Build quality seems pretty good but only time will tell how long they'll last but definitely worth the money.

I'm seeing the everyday price of $14.99 on Walmart's website. Might be right to update that.

I've been wearing Avia's for decades. Fortunately for me, they fit my feet very well. I would even say slightly better form fitting, supportive, than popular name brands. I forget where I used to buy them, but then they stopped carrying Avia's. So I wore other brands for a number of years. So glad that Walmart is carrying Avia. There's a pine green running shoe I wore for almost 2 years, just replaced them couple weeks ago since they are $10 right now. Then purchased hiking shoes to use as a replacement for my yard work shoes that I had for, Idk, like around 7 years, and for hiking at times, currently $14. Then got the white, lime green athletic shoes, hopefully to inspire me to go back to the gym for some basketball, these were expensive, $17, lol, but cool looking. Avia's honestly are not stellar like $120+ shoes. I'd rate them about 80% as good quality as those. Then you can do the math as if it's worth it for you. There has been no shoe that I wear daily, cheap or expensive, that lasts more than 2 years. So the money math is really easy. Less than $50 for three pair of shoes.

I agree. For just regular shoes for doing light workouts or everyday wear, they are great. If you're a marathoner or serious runner, you'd probably want something a little better. But Avia's work great for 80-90% of uses.
