I don't think he is suggesting you buy a Costco membership just for this deal. If you already are a Costco member, it's a better TV and a better warranty.

Reviews aren't great. Tv peels from the screen. This is probably good as a secondary tv for a garage or bedroom, but I wouldn't use it for my living room.

People who don't have memberships can always get a Costco gift card. Costco will let you use a gift card if you don't have a membership.

Not a good idea. $150 is almost a new TV and also, last TV lasted exactly 6 years before breaking down. They are designed to profit, so you will most likely lose.

Yeah these TV's (including the Costco one linked) are terrible. Tons of spiderwebbing, glitchy OS and poor sound quality. I had TCL come out and replace multiple components to fix random shut offs, random switches to different streaming apps and they ended up refunding me.

I have 6 year old TCL tv, you can always use sound bar for better sound and all issues you mentioned never happened to me. I use apple Tv with this tv anyways. Costco and bestbuy is awesome with returns. Good luck

This will get interesting once tcl finally takes over for sony. The price drop as well as quality.. Hopefully it isnt too bad
