Thanks so much for mentioning this...I'm on Tracfone and still have alot of years and phones left but eventually if this price stays like this I might transfer over in the future.

Sorry if this is a noob question, how good is the service for these plans?
It runs on Verizon or T-mobile. They have a webform where you can request a switch to a different network.
I was on Verizon for first year and now I'm on T-mobile. Both networks work flawlessly for me. Streaming music/video, facetime calls... (if you have phone that supports 5G you should not have any problems...)

Sorry for the dumb question. Is the 5 GB plan month-to-month or 5 GB for one year?

Month-to-month.

Each month, you get 5 GB of data, 2,500 minutes of calling, 2,500 SMS texts, and 500 MMS messages. The monthly cycle lasts 30 days, after which, the above all renew for the 2nd month, and then again for the 3rd month, etc. for 12 months. The data is hard-capped on this 5 GB plan (i.e. gets cut of completely after the 5 GB is used up; no further data on reduced speeds. You can purchase more gigs as add-ons if you run out).

It does Not include hotspot or international calling. Hotspot can be added as an add-on for $5 per month.

Do you know if the hotspot add-on can be selected for a single month & then dropped?

Yes, it's an add-on as a per-month charge. You can enable it for one month if that's all you need it for, then cancel it.

I just did an IMEI check with a month old Moto G on Straight Talk and it passed the check. How is that possible? I chose physical sim. It's also giving me the choice of a Verizon sim or a T-Mo sim. Interesting.

Tax and fees are $25 for PA, give up.

Choose ESIM (or be trying to renew) and use a privacy.com virtual credit card which works with ANY address. That allows you to pick a state with no sales tax and/or low 911 fees. I used ohio. Random store address in a random town. Since no physical media is being mailed it will drop the fees to almost nothing. I think I paid $2 in fees vs the $19 or so they wanted me to pay which was mainly a 911 fee. You can also lock 1 time usage and a max dollar amount on the card.

So you are saying you paid under $2 in fees/taxes for an Ohio address for this purchase?

I used a Verizon state tax fee estimator, and I see $7.20/yr in 911 fees and 20% tax for Ohio.
