Correct. To expand upon this if people don't know why: That advice came from the years past when soap had lye in it. Modern dish soaps are so mild they cannot even begin to hurt your seasoning. Even Lodge tells you to use soap. https://www.lodgecastiron.com/pag...aning-care

Soak the cast iron in hot water. Use the brush or even just a spatula. Most of the time a gentle wipe with dish detergent and a nonstick sponge, will clean it up. I find the Dawn power wash is almost a little too effective.

Does anyone know if Lodge makes a replacement scrub brush head? Want to get the brush again but once the bristles wore out, had to toss the whole thing even though the head comes off really easily.
