If you're after better standalone performance, deeper sound, and more connectivity features, the Sonos Era 100 is the superior choice overall. If you want a solid, budget-friendly Sonos speaker that integrates well with a larger setup, the Sonos One SL is still a very capable option.

Sonos fixed their app issue a while back and moved forward. You should move forward too.

What specific issues are wrong with the app? I purchased the Arc Ultra, Sub Gen 3 and a pair of Era 100s and the app as worked fine for me with zero issues.

Did they bring the widget back though? I use the old app specifically for the widget..

Weren't they cheaper while back? With the discount code?
Yeah. They were $85 a pop at MorningSave (seemingly same parent company) with code at the end of December.

Even with the "fixes' the app and ecosystem still sucks. The speakers themselves are awesome. If there was a 3rd party app for sonos or they atleast made the system open source, this would be one of the best speaker companies on the market. Having to use plex or something similar to play local music sucks.

Curious as to what issues you are experiencing. I have about 6 speakers, a beam and an arc. The ones connected to the tv just work and when I want to use Spotify or Apple Music, I just click on the speaker I want listen to.

The app prior to a few years back was simple, intuitive and easy to navigate. For example, if you want to add a room (speaker) to the current music you're listening to, it was a simple click on the existing screen. Now it's a few clicks and not easy to find. Every time I use the app, which is becoming increasingly rare because it annoys me, I cannot find how to do this w/o multiple clicks and navigating.

Its a ton of clicks to do anything now. Plex and the other music apps i have are constantly being disconnected and have to re-authorize them.

Too bad these will likely NEVER be restocked. And if they ever are, they'll jack up the price for sure. Also, Best Buy's is refurbished by Best Buy, not Sonos. So basically... just used.
