If you're after better standalone performance, deeper sound, and more connectivity features, the Sonos Era 100 is the superior choice overall. If you want a solid, budget-friendly Sonos speaker that integrates well with a larger setup, the Sonos One SL is still a very capable option.

and yes. Not sure what the problem with the app was but I have never run into issues. Maybe I don't use the app as much as others do.

What specific issues are wrong with the app? I purchased the Arc Ultra, Sub Gen 3 and a pair of Era 100s and the app as worked fine for me with zero issues.

I've been on the hunt for a sonos that will allow me to use airplay with all of my legacy sonos speakers, and this appears to fit the bill! In for one.

Their app sucks ass. I use it on Android with YouTube music. It doesn't understand half of the voice commands that Google Assistant understands (even though it says it's using Google Assistant). When I open the app and click a dynamic mix (my supermix for instance, which is just a random assortment of songs based on your music taste, then click a song in that, it just doesn't play that song. It plays a completely different song. It makes no sense. They made their app FAR worse ~2 years ago if I had to guess. I will never buy another Sonos product.
