This is shipped and sold by Amazon and Amazon is a certified Apple reseller. I don't think this is fake. Now, if you bought one sold by a third party, I think you'd be right to be concerned.

Doesn't matter -- Amazon uses a system called "commingled inventory", which means they will physically ship whatever product is closest/fastest to you. Even if it was provided by a third-party. So you might buy from "Amazon" and still get a counterfeit originally from a third-party.

I've PERSONALLY gotten counterfeit textbooks, memory cards, and even toothbrushes due to this. All with AMAZON being the primary seller.
