I haven't used the Ambeo, but had the Beam and then the Arc with the Ikea speakers as surrounds. With the Beam, it felt like there was sound coming from the front, and sound coming from the back, but there was a gap on the sides. The Arc filled in that gap. I have a very wide living room, so if you have walls close to the side of your TV, a Beam-sized sound bar might not have that problem. But if the prices are similar, I'd go with the Arc. Especially if you think you might want to add surrounds. Sonos has plenty of options. Sennheiser has none.
Eventually moved to a full 9.1 system, but I'd go for the Arc unless you have a small TV.

i got a 75inch tv in a high ceiling living room. plus the tv sits low on the stand. maybe at most 2" clearance. so i don't have much choice. But at least if this doesn't work out, i can return to bestbuy. I use TV casually so i might not even need a soundbar.

Definitely get a sound bar. It is leaps and bounds better than speakers in the tv
Deal says expired, but I still see them listed! If you want one there is still time to scoop one up. I was gonna get the arc because of the sound quality, but this is sitting at the edge of my desk, so im too close for the arcs soundstage.
