There's no variable speed either unless they've added that. Sander is like the only Ryobi tool I don't have experience with.

That is all I use it for. I have a Makita palm router with both fixed and plunge bases. Plunging allows you to make deep cuts in increments very easily.

Solid deal for 2 tools that I use a bunch (plus bits).

That said, I wish I had brushless versions of both, but that would be significantly more expensive.
