Do these warp over time? If it does, then it becomes wobbly to lay it flat and cut. You may want to use a rubber mat to enhance the grip on the counter

I find that hand washing mine extends the life of them

Agreed. Instead of throwing this into the dishwasher, handwashing with luke warm water extends its life. But it may still not be enough to stop the warping.

If these didn't have the hole, I would pick these up and use as coaster or hot pan holder on wooden table.

One time, I used mine as a hot pan holder and it caused a small split in the seam. So I wouldn't recommend doing that.

I would avoid bamboo cutting boards they dull knives faster than softer boards...
