Got it last time when on sale. It does what it designed for. However, it's not waterproof as it suggested. It died after I did a quick rinse over the faucet.

Not bad. Not truly instant; more quick. Does the job for a relatively cheap one. Feels solid. Been using one for around 6 months. Great if you don't want to step up.

Yeah, it's frustrating as SD's Price Intelligence Graph is often wrong/non-sensical. CCC shows this hasn't been below $9.99 in a year. But that often doesn't account for coupons/promos. I bought this in 3/25 for $3.99 after $16 coupon/promo. I don't disagree with your point though…I've seen many posts here (I won't call them "deals") go FP which are not close to being a "deal."

I have this one. Works well, only complaint (and this unreasonably irks me) is that it doesn't turn on when you open the probe (which every other meat thermometer I have does).

Bought this 'deal' last May. It's E-waste.
The special battery costs more than the thermometer. The LCD screen is dim and hard to read. Requires pushing a button to start. It is not waterproof. Not accurate. Tediously slow. Clumsy, poor ergonomics.

My purchase history shows what amounts to getting suckered in to paying for a never-ending subscription to junk "deal" thermometers which cost me more than buying one good one.

ThermPro TP19 ( not the 19H ) gets used several times a day. I find it to be durable accurate and a pleasure to use. It's fast but not instant. Large bright l.e.d.'s. , yes LED"s that you can read in total darkness, are easy to read day or night from several feet away. Auto on-off motion sensing.. Ambidextrous auto rotating display. Strong magnets. Long battery life on two AAA. Secure battery door can't fall off. Waterproof. The probe does not break off.

Got this last time, and it's a low-quality, non-waterproof item. I've used it for about 2 months, and the thermometer's shell is coming apart, and the magnet has lost 50% of its strength.
