The markup is around 20% + tips. It's more about saving time/trip with somewhat reduced markup

Very nice! I picked up a pack of stew meat and a roasted chicken. With the $12 off (chose the scheduled delivery for an addl $2 off) and accounting for the tip, it saved me a trip to Costco and made the meat more affordable.

Barely, and that doesn't even include the rather large markup of prices Instacart charges for items. It's like pick one -- charge more for the products and deliver them, or charge the store price and charge delivery fees but to do both seems like double-taxation. Not to mention TIPS!
