3x plugs are always on, 3x plugs are smart plugs that can be individually controlled, and the USB ports are smart ports but all 3 ports need to be controlled together. I own a different Tapo product but it works very well and the Tapo app is really good.

I have one of these with bedside lamps and phone charging cords connected - works well and integrates with Home Assistant - using bedside Pico remotes on each bedside table to operate lamps and overhead fan light kit. Also the Caseta dimmer switch at the entry door turns all the lights in the room on/off. Very convenient.
So no power monitoring on these correct? Just on/off? Wondering if you HAVE to use the app to get these added to your network? Can you use homekit to get them on your wifi without having to use the Tapo app? I'd like to not have to rely on TP-Link or use their app, even to commission these onto my network.

No power monitoring. I have it added to my WiFi using the TP-Link Tapo app, and then integrated in to Home Assistant, where they are controlled locally. I don't use Homekit so can't speak to how they'd be added to Homekit, so I don't know if the TP-Link Tapo app can be avoided.
not the lowest price over 30 days...According to Amazon's Rufus "Over the past 30 days, the price of the TP-Link Tapo Smart Plug Outlet Extender P306 has ranged from $29.98 to $39.99. The current price is $35.97, which is $6 higher than the 30-day low but still $4 below the list price."

How can you tell if you qualify for 25% cb using the prime visa? Mine just says 5%. Is it select accounts then?
Add it to the cart and go to the checkout page. Look for "Additional reward details" and click on it. It's typically for Amazon Prime members using their Amazon Store Card.

They were two different TP-Link product lines that merged in the last two years. Most recent Kasa products can be integrated within the Tapo app.
IIRC, they used to only have Kasa, then introduced Tapo as a lower-end alternative with slightly more limited feature sets (switches not being illuminated, etc), and then merged Kasa into Tapo after the latter saw consistently better sales over time.
I'm not exactly sure what the cross-compatibility is, but I converted my parents' house fully to TP-Link (all the light switches, outlets, sensors, etc) around two years ago, and has no compatibility issues.

Good thing you didn't go with Belkin WeMo! 5 days until WeMo shutdown.

do they make these with two separate plugs into the wall anymore? i have an ancient one that had two plugs, so i could plug it into one of those switch-controlled outlets and have 3 outlets controlled by switch and 3 always on..
