I highly doubt you can run 7 ports without a external power source.

Correct!....the maximum power provided by the input source will be 900ma (assuming that it's USB 3.0).
You'll have USB ports available (for convenience purposes), but, in most cases, 3-5 (or potentially less) would be maxing out the source.
Having 7 devices active all at once would be uncommon, but an externally powered hub (with these many USB ports) is always a better option!

Looks like providing your own 5V/3A 15W USB-C power source would make this a powered hub?

Yeah. In that case this is actually not a bad option no?

Some people are just too lazy to read a product description. The USB C power connection can provide an extra 15watts of power to the ports

If you happen to have an extra one lying around. Otherwise, it's not as good a deal if you need to purchase one to use with this.

It LITERALLY has a USBC slot on the back for an external power port.

It is astounding to me how much you guys will just complain, the the extent that y'all literally just make up things that are wrong that literally don't even exist.

Nothing I said is wrong. It indeed can't support 7 slots without external power source. Does it come with external power source? It doesn't so STFU.

Imagine being so confidently incorrect that you double down with "it doesn't come come with a power source". It takes a GD USBC plug and a charging brick, something I'm pretty sure you have lying around.

Guaranteed considering it's a Type C on a US B hub
