I bought this, I like it but yes small. Good for repetitive jumps but if you're a younger athlete you will need a taller size. I'm 46 and can jump on the 30" my son is 12 and uses 24".

i use boxes in my gym for belt squats (stand on boxes with weight on a chain/dip belt) and for box squats. the weight rating on these cheap wood boxes is really low so if you're a stronger lifter might want to look at something sturdier. i use irrigation valve boxes made from molded ABS plastic made to be buried under ground and have trucks drive over them. way stronger and cheaper than the wooden ones. you can get them in all sorts of sizes and shapes. i bought a pair from home depot for under $40 shipped last years black friday. They're 14x19 Rectangular with a 12"H perfect Height for box squats just below parallel for me. I regularly box squat over 400lb +my 190lb body so they can handle 600+.

A jumping box? Does it jump when you scare it?

I bought this for PT when I broke my ankle and it worked great. Can't speak to how any youngins jumping 8ft in the air would think of it.

has anyone ever used plyometrics to rehab achilles tendinopathy or make it more resilient to overuse? Did it help?
