This is 50 bucks cheaper at Microcenter. Nearly the same bundle, Ram choice is different.

As someone who just did a microcenter bundle with the msi motherboard I am not impressed with their bios firmware. EZ flash outright does not work with the latest bios version despite all the metadata matching and trying countless troubleshooting steps like unpacking tools, usb sticks, and filename checks. I could try the old model renaming and running through motherboard switches. But I finally gave up and just elected to use the default bios.

Well, it constantly freezes and doesn't detect inputs. I was able to update the memory profile and enable cpu boosting from the main load page in EZ mode. I called that a win and played games.

Yeah its cheaper in microcenter with a better motherboard too, but this comes with a "free" mouse and not everyone lives near a microcenter

I just built two computers with MSI boards and had no issues updating the bios on either of them. Both were 870P – P. My biggest problem was updating with the flash drive to fat 32

I probably did the exact same bundle. X870E-P. Had to exchange the mobo because I had no LAN. I've been working in IT for twenty+ years, never seen an issue like this. Totally visible in windows, no activity lights. Failing at layer one. Did all the troubleshooting, turned out to be a faulty board. The replacement has been great.

X870 not Z870 BTW. Confused me for a second I thought it was an intel mobo.

I also just did a build with the X870E-P, and it updated bios just fine with a flash drive. Updated from whatever was on the board when I got it to the latest.

Unless it drops back to the original price, otherwise Im not buying. Sk Samsung and micron can die with AI. I will not use my money to save them in the future
