The Spirit SC E 425 with crafted griddle is a compact Weber gas grill that stands out for the included griddle insert and frame kit, which add real value and make quick cooking easier for onions, veggies, and other small items. The griddle is not full surface, but it is still described as plenty big. The two wheel setup is favored over the caster version, which can break off and feels better on rough ground. Main tradeoffs are the missing digital thermometer, stainless finishes, and an open upper back cabinet area that may need covering. A practical pick if you want Weber basics with extra griddle flexibility.

Common Questions (5)

  • This version skips the 4 caster wheels, the digital thermometer, and stainless-steel finishes found on some other 425 variants. It uses a 2-wheel setup instead, which some prefer for durability and because caster wheels can break off or roll poorly on uneven surfaces.

  • No. The included griddle insert does not cover the full surface, but it is still described as plenty big and useful for cooking onions, veggies, and other add-ons. It is also part of the deal value, with the insert valued at about $100 MSRP.

  • Weber's 10-year warranty and replacement-part support are cited as reasons the grill can be kept running for years. That makes repairs a practical option if something wears out instead of replacing the whole grill.

  • The bundle includes a griddle insert valued at about $100 MSRP plus a $50 MSRP frame kit, so the extras total roughly $150. That makes the deal effectively about $80 less than the added value of the included accessories.

  • The upper back of the cabinet is open, which can let an animal get inside under the cover. A practical fix is to cover the opening with sheet metal.

Enjoy the inflation that was done on purpose.
We used to call it price gouging. Guess that's a faux pas now. Frown

It's flabberghasting to me that Weber's cheapest line of grills now sells for 750 bucks when not on sale.
I got the genesis 2 3 burner with side burner and sear zone for $750 plus tax at Costco in September of 2025.

I prefer the two wheel like this one. Had the caster wheels before and they break off easily
Agree. Sometimes the two wheel is a pain but they tend toLast longer. Although my two wheel version kept having the kotter pin cover fall of so that was a PITA but I finally took them off and it was better.

Bought this exact model 2/2025 for $599 at Lowe's. No issues with it other than the upper part of the back of the cabinet is open. An animal got under my cover and up into the cabinet and had fun wreaking havoc. I installed some sheet metal over the opening.

Grabbed one of these and few days ago and stoked to get it together. Home Depot offers a 10% military discount so I was able to snag it for 539.99 before tax!

Just bought the 3 burner stealth model with casters, digital readout and 2 searing burners. Bought it at Lowe's and got a great deal on the floor model. Love it so far.

Care to explain why? Not going to stop anyone since we have very few choices to buy from.

It's nuts. My Spirit E-210 that I bought on clearance at Target for $199 almost 10 years ago is still going strong. I only had to replace the flavorizer bars and just bought knockoff stainless steel ones off eBay. At these prices I will just keep on fixing it as needed.

Wow are you kidding that's the one I've been wanting and Costco never has them for me.
