There are instances of folks getting items that's been previously used or open box with missing pieces but those seems to be exception not the rule.
The thing to watch out for is if these may be overstocked items or have been on a shelf for a while and they want to clear them out. Since Woot! (An Amazon company) is not an authorized Milwaukee tool reseller, you most likely cannot use your purchase receipt as your proof of purchase in terms of getting warranty service. In this case Milwaukee will go by the battery date code (date of manufacturing). While the battery may be new in box, it may have been made a while back. I looked at a 8AH HO battery on Facebook 2 months ago for a good price, brand new, and I asked the seller to send me a picture of the bottom where the date code is, it was made in 2022. So getting it at the end of 2025 it was already out of the three year warranty.
Those who have purchase Milwaukee batteries from Woot! what do you see for date codes are they really old or new?
If it arrives with an old date code, can I return it easily? Is it as easy as Amazon return or is it a length tedious process?
