This woot deal is one of the best I've seen in a long time on tons of tools. for non-hack prices, $92 for an 8.0 forge, etc

Not exactly. Milwaukee will honor warranties based on the date of manufacture (serial number code)
For example a serial number G29KDCBC 190510 2761040 was manufactured 2019 may (05) the 10th.
I've had numerous warranties done this way with no receipt.

So with these being latest gen, they're less than 2 yr old, and you still get 3 yr, and that'd be if these were the very first production run. Likely they were made sometime in 2025 and will still have 4 yr left.

The new Gen2 Fuel model is better than this in every way. Even in oscillating mode, this one is slower.

The Dewalt is probably better than both of them but at this price, the Milwaukee is a deal.
