You can't. It's really not that helpful because you get fish or not 95% depends on the fish's mood. I owned several of these - they are great to search for the fish but you really don't double your catch rate because you are still limited by your skill to trigger the fish's attack.They do relief your mind though that you don't need to worry about you are siting at a vacant spot for a day. You can confidently tell yourself it's your technique not that there is no fish. Also it's very hard to cast bait and use the screen to fish. You can't cast into the zone at all.

claiming the ability to literally see fish underwater is "really not that helpful" is absolutely insane. you've got a skill issue.
no, this won't automatically catch fish for you, but it literally shows you a livefeed of the scanning area. if that is "really not that helpful", then you should go find a different hobby.
