5% white vinegar. Can dilute w/water. Soak for 15 min. Take a soft bristle toothbrush to remove debris and repeat. Never use toothpaste, it's abrasive and creates tiny scratches for bacteria to hide. Mild liquid soap is ok but I find unnecessary.

If I understand correctly, UV-C (around 245 or 254 nm) has very poor penetration in clear water. Even a few millimeters of water dramatically reduce UV-C intensity. At 1-2 cm of water, UV-C is essentially neutralized. Adding a cleaning solution likely makes UV penetration even worse.

The UV is still a good feature, but it would be used AFTER ultrasonic cleaning and rinsing.

For my mouthguards, I use a teeny tiny bit of mild dish soap or retainer tablets.

Will this weaken denatures overtime with the sonic/uv?
