I still use mine to load my office 2010, acrobat and few others. quite useful!
I wish this one is Blu-ray supported. Because I would want to put this underneath my Mac mini 4. The form factor is great and I don't want a giant dvd player on my desk. Just keeping my space minimal as possible.

You'd be looking at at LEAST $12.50 for that. Too rich for my blood.

Ok never mind what I said
I think you're looking at at $50-$60 for a burner that supports Blu-ray, even for only read-only, so you'd be better off getting something that actually burns to BR. Still a heck of a lot cheaper than they used to be, but a far cry from under $10.

Was thinking about keeping as backup, but if you sort reviews by most recent, this thing definitely has longevity issues. It doesn't work if you put it away for a while. Will just spend the extra 5 or 10 to get a better one

Last year I bought a new laptop with Windows 11. My wife asked why we still had Office 2007. "Because it's the one I paid for, don't have to pay annually for and a docx is a docx....)
