The govee ones were recalled due to them having WiFi control. I'm sure some people turned them on remotely or left them on next to curtains or something that could catch fire. Every device has risks. I've got the govee one and love it. Use it all the time and it works great with zero issues. But it has the same risks as any heater just with the added potential of activstijg remotely and not remembering you covered it with a towel.

I feel like space heaters are one of those things you should avoid buying cheap, unknown Chinese brands for.

Somebody is having fun coming up with all these fake Chinese brand names.
It's all the same product under 10 different names.

these things add significantly to your electric bill. 1500 watts 8 hours a day is probably 60-120/mo depending on your supply prices, unless you're lucky enough to have municipal electric.

I'm not buying a no name heater. I have a Lasko that has lasted years, and just bought another one.

Looks like it has tip over and overheat protection. Got one to see how it works.

True, but some utility companies (at least in the north) have rates that drop below zero often in winter.

That's steep. Hopefully you guys have solar panels... Imagine you have 2 or 3 at home.

The best ones I've seen so far are Deltaco and JOHNSPAPA. It's like they're not even trying anymore
