I used to think that this was a deal to jump on, but the last time this was posted virtually all the comments were about how it's not a great engine or pump (Honda engine with CAT pump are recommended). Are there variations of this which are good?

I bought this last deal. It's winter so I've only used it two or three times but it is an absolute Powerhouse of a pressure washer. It in no way compares to the smaller Simpson with Honda motor that it replaced. The previous unit was 2.5 gpm, 3500 psi. This unit has started first pull every time I've started it. No complaints at all so far. I had no shipping damage on mine. Just to give you an idea of how crazy this thing is, I wear earplugs because the sound of the water from my Turbo nozzle hitting the steel panels of my pickup truck is significantly louder than the engine and is deafening. 😂
