Is this a good router, YES. Is it worth almost $300 if im looking for a new router, NO! At this point just get something Wifi 7 and be current, even if you dont have a lot of Wifi 7 devices the capabilities and features are there for any items you do have or will be buying in the near future.

This is annoying how long I keep waiting just for a "decent" asus to go on sale for around $100. 0.1% of people need one of the ones up around $200-400.

I have this. It's a great router. It doesn't have WiFi 7, nor do I need that. It does have excellent VLAN capabilities, and I do need that. The only gripe I have is that it takes a long, long time to boot, and a very long time to apply changes. I do embedded systems stuff (hence VLAN needs), so the boot time really matters to me.

This thing is best tackled with the crowbar.

I got this back during the amazon holiday resale deal for about 200 out the door. Great router so far. Given inflation and all, I kind of wished I got 2 so I can install it at my sister's place also.

I say if you're going to make an alien style router, you should just commit and go full alien.

This router is an absolute unit. It weighs no less than twelve pounds and you are going to need to clear some space for it. It's larger than any router I've ever owned.

No, it doesn't have Wi-Fi 7. That's going to be a deal breaker for some people. However, Wi-Fi 6E is going to be more than enough for most people. Just don't expect to get ten gig speeds out of that ten gig port.

While I kind of agree, newer technology is. It always great enough to justify the upgrade to
