This 11 inch Winco stainless steel fry pan is a pro style, induction compatible skillet that shines when used with oil or butter and proper preheating. The stainless surface is not non stick by default, but it can brown food well and build fond for sauces, and eggs can release cleanly with a light coating and good technique. The pan is described as a solid deal at this price, though it is a step down from tri ply cookware and needs more skill than coated pans. A practical pick if you want stainless performance over easy cleanup.

  • home cooks who want a stainless steel fry pan for browning and making pan sauce because it's not non-stick by default and you use oil to brown food and use the fond to make a sauce.

  • people cooking eggs daily who are okay with using a light butter or oil coating because the commenter says their eggs slide right out in stainless when they use a thin coating (except scrambled).

  • buyers who cook on induction and want a stainless option because the bonded stainless steel plate is what makes the pan induction compatible.

  • home cooks willing to use stainless technique (preheating and controlling heat) because commenters say you need practice and preheat until water beads and moves before adding fat, and that the heat source (gas) can make a difference.

  • people expecting a true non-stick skillet for low-effort cooking because commenters say it's stainless steel with no coating, so by default it is not non-stick and requires oil/butter/lard and technique to reduce sticking.

  • shoppers who want a pan that can be used like a non-stick egg pan without any sticking risk because one commenter warns it will be a stick pan unless you know how to use it.

  • buyers who specifically want a tri-ply skillet with a lid at around the same price because commenters point to a $19.99 triply option with a lid as a better deal than this 11" pan.

Crazy cheap for a stainless steel pan. Camel says it was recently $40.

I'm very glad that they bonded the stainless steel plate to the bottom to make sure this stainless steel pan is induction compatible. (I know the multi ply is for heat distribution, it's just funny they put it as a benefit)

I cook my eggs in a stainless steel pan daily and have no issues with sticking. Use a light coating of butter or oil before you put the eggs in and you will be good. My eggs slide right out unless Im making them scrambled.
It takes practice and trial and error also the heat source makes a difference (gas is better). And be sure to preheat the pan enough so that a drop of water beads and moves around before you add your fat.

I think all that really matters is that there aren't dry spots when you add your proteins, you can brush around the oil with a silicone brush to make sure it's evenly coated after heating up

Well I certainly appreciate men like you who give my fellow tradesman and I good job security. Haha. That said, some people value possessing know-how for at least basic household tasks like I mentioned. It used to be the case that men generally did those things themselves. And thinking it takes 2 hours instead of the 20 minutes it actually takes to change your oil is pretty funny, my man.
An older guy told me once that every thing you use every day such as cars and toilets you should at least have an idea how it works. Not saying you should be able to rebuild an engine if you drive a car but should at least know basics of the internal combustion process. Should be able to adjust float and replace flapper in a toilet tho.

Totally different pan for a different job. You cannot flip eggs or anything in the sauté pan you linked compared to this fry pan. The sides are different. Order a lot of Door Dash do you?

The one he linked for 19.99 is a skillet not a saute pan. It's a great deal and better than this one since it's 3ply and comes with a lid. Only negative reviews are related to having to install the handle yourself with a flimsy wrench. Everyone has a real wrench at home they can use instead.
