It is, but something to keep in mind: check return policy and if it has restocking fee. I got different brand 300hz monitor for gaming, and sure enough it was working fine, however these "fast ms gaming monitors" do not have necessary antiflicker tech built in, and it can bother your eyes or cause headaches after looking at the screen for an hour or two.
I returned mine because I was having headaches.
For qhd IPS, getting 165hz is about as good as they can get to have anti-flicker tech built into it. If you want higher refresh, go for OLED, or 240hz VA... VA panels have improved a lot and that is why I got for me, 34" VA Asus monitor @180hz that does the job so well
