Agreed. I want to bite but for a headset that has been all but abandoned by the manufacturer, $300 is hard to swallow. If I had a gaming PC, I'd probably feel differently.

Buyers beware- I bought this thing and it literally never worked. Look up issues with controller tracking and button press recognition. The headset looks great but the buttons on the controllers are inoperable. Most likely cause I discovered while searching is a stuck trigger so many people actually whack the controller on a desk to try and fix it.....

The headset worked while playing on PA5 with PS controller (non-VR). On my PC, I couldn't even get past the steam VR set up because controller tracking didn't work. I even bought 2 different recommended Bluetooth dangles (recommended by Sony).

A complete pain in the ass on PC. Unless you absolutely have to play the VR Horizon game everyone else is better off waiting for the Steam Frame.
But how much will that cost? We're on Slickdeals here, so obviously this is not a "money is no object situation". Of course there are or will be better options for VR gaming on PC, but I have a strong suspicion none are priced better than this

How is this compared to an Oculus quest 3 or 3s i terms of resolution, framerate and FOV for PC use?

I paid $200 used and it's worth it at that price. Gran Turismo 7 is so much fun.

Controllers ARE wonky. I had so much trouble getting one of them to update that I almost gave up. Thankfully, I don't need controllers at all to play Gran Turismo 7 so I never turn them on and play using a wheel only.

Agreed. The PSVR2's tech is incredibly good, they just didn't give it enough attention. At the initial price point it was very good for the money, but still too much for people to invest in it compared to a Quest.

It's more that it lacks support on PC, and you still need an adapter to make it work. On PS5, there's just not enough content and why they didn't make the PSVR2 compatible with PSVR1 is beyond me.

Couldn't agree more! At that price, I might get it for my PC, but still curious if I'd be okay with the mura, the wire, the poor support on PC and the need to buy an adapter.
Hoping Steam Frame delivers at a sub $700 price though!
