Key Differences Between OpenRun SE (Costco) and OpenRun Pro 2
Sound Quality & Technology: The Pro 2 uses DualPitch™ technology (combining bone and air conduction) for deeper bass, clearer treble, and less vibration. The SE uses standard, earlier-generation bone conduction.
Battery Life: The Pro 2 features up to 12 hours of music/calls, while the SE typically provides around 8 hours of playtime.
Comfort & Weight: The Pro 2 is generally designed for a more comfortable, secure fit for long, intense workouts, though some users find the SE slightly lighter.
Charging & Controls: The Pro 2 uses USB-C with a covered gasket, often allowing for faster charging, while the SE uses a magnetic cable.
Microphone: The Pro 2 includes dual noise-canceling mics with an AI algorithm for better call quality in loud environments.
Usage Examples
Choose OpenRun SE (Costco): Best for budget-conscious users, runners in high-traffic/loud environments (where max loudness is more important than audio fidelity), or those needing a lightweight, durable pair for daily, casual workouts.
Choose OpenRun Pro 2: Best for long-distance endurance athletes, users desiring premium audio, deep bass for music, and improved call quality with 12-hour battery life.

You can, but you can definitely feel the cable on your neck/back of head. Doesn't hurt, just feels weird.

I feel the same. The vibration from the music bothers me a lot. A way around this which defeats the purpose of shokz but still makes them usable is to actually slip the ends INTO your ears, instead of hooking them over your ears. It probably looks goofy but it works.... no more vibration.

Love mine, paid $99 at Costco two years ago do the same model. Have been using them daily walking, running, and when I don't want to wake the house up in the morning while getting ready.

They've held up great in all kinds of weather and I've even worn them in the shower. Battery life is great.

Does anyone use them to make calls? How's the call quality? Is the mic's voice isolation decent for loud background noise while being outside?

I use them at work daily for calls with no issues. Call quality is good.

Does anybody know what the waterproof rating is for this OpenRun SE? I didn't see anything listed on the Costco page and a search online generally gives me the "OpenRun" rating of IP67, but I'm not sure if that's also applicable to the OpenRun SE.

I was unimpressed with the sound quality, for the $, in a listening tent at an event. Settled on some cheap Truefree open ears that nicely clip to the lobe and I don't care if they get lost or stolen at their price. Better sq for music as well. Bone conduction is sub par for tunes, still.
