Great device at great price!
I had bought MSI Aegis for $2200 during thnaksgiving. That has RTX 5080, and I read AMD GPUs are not quite as good as RTX right now. But this CPU is great!

True. The 5080 would be way better than this 9070XT. I've been looking at this computer since it came out but I can't do it with this graphics card. I saw the sale you mentioned at the end of last yr, should have got it then. It's a beautiful looking computer.

Picked up the MSI for 2600, then returned after reading it sold earlier for 2200. Considering prices right now seems like a good deal, just ordered it. The 5080 MSI was a great deal, but I guess you snooze you lose.

Really depends what you want out of your system, maybe you wanna move away from windows and move to linux if so then this is perfect. While Nvidia GPUs work for linux since AMD makes their drivers open source they're much closer to the performance you would get on windows, where as Nvidia and Intel GPUs have significantly less performance on linux based OS's.

😂 Your idea is to make Nvidia and Intel perform less so that AMD can be better?

tempted to buy this just to have with the way computer parts are right now. currently have a 7800x3d with rtx 5080 so this system isn't an upgrade for me. just worried about not having a pc to play games if mine craps out.

Except that one is probably not coming back for about 2 years. Then rinse and repeat with 6000 series.

There will be pc parts. Just more expensive. I dont think you want to pay high price in advance while yours is running just fine. Besides, CPU and GPU rarely just "craps out".

Hello Bruce,
The only upgrade and when I mean upgrade, not by much would be a 9800X3D and a RTX 5090 but that would cost thousands more for a mere 15-20% boost in performance. If you do have a 7800x3d with an rtx 5080, there is no need to upgrade to anything unless you just have money to burn.

Anyone know if you could fit 4 extra 3.5 disk drives in the case? I have a raid I need to move over but don't feel like building an entire new pc.
