SMH. This isn't true, and is one of the biggest myths that still exist.
This TV is several years old, and this is the lowest it has been. EVER.
It's not getting any lower next week just because of your mythical "Super Bowl sales" you believe it.
This is it. Buy now. Don't wait.

I got the exact same model in 55" from Best Buy for $50 more. This is still an excellent deal.
My Sony is less than a year old, no issues.

How does this compare to OLED?
Brighter rooms (sun lit) get Full Array
Dimmer rooms get OLED

if I were going to spend $1000 on a mini led 65"
I would go for the TCL QM8....much better set than the Sony bravia 5

Have the 75" version and love it. Has performed very well and updates regularly. Only slight drawback is that Google TV can get a little laggy but it's not any worse than most other streaming platforms.

Bought my Sony Bravia X series TV in the Summer of 2019 and it still works and looks as good as the day I bought it.

It's gotten a lot of updates over the years often adding new functionality. The picture still gets lots of compliments any time anyone sees it.

The X90L is better than the Bravia 5.

I have this model and I've been pretty happy with it. It's my first 4K TV.

Horrible comparison. The Bravia 5 in 55-85" in every way is actively WORSE than the X90L. At that point, just look at the TCL QM8K for $999, or if you don't want to spend more, go for TCL QM7K. Both have the Crystglow HVA panel, the QM8K has a LITTLE wider angles, but both are better than the X90L in brightness, contrast and local dimming. Sony has better upscaling and motion, but come April 2027, TCL will own 51% of Sony, so hopefully they just drop in the XR processing into a TCL set without increasing cost too much and BAM... best TV on market if it remains Google TV

Best Buy had refurbished Sony X93L for $750 during Christmas sales. It was either not available in my area or sold out.

I picked up the 75" of this at BB, open box for $700 last May. Excellent TV. Even though it's not mini-led it's still exceptional.

Have to agree. Amazing TV. Especially for Live Sports.

I agree with nsknuds although he came off a bit harsh. The Super Bowl sale is for newer models (2025-2026) and not this one which is on final clearance - this type of deal is not advertised. You have to search for it or keep scrolling to come across something like this, and doubt these are on display at the store anymore. Surprised to see inventory on this 2023 model right now. Even 2024 models are considered clearance and unlikely to be part of any SB sales event. These are backend deals. If you know you want it, jump on it. If you aren't sure, or want more features like an OLED or larger screen, then pass on this. I believe the overwhelming census is this model is superior to Bravia 5 (current lineup) at a far lower price.

Why do they waste a 120hz HDMI port for earc?
The Sony Soundbar HT-A7000 has two HDMI 2.1 ports so I think it is necessary.

For future high frame rate audio standards?
