The Galaxy Tab A11 Plus stands out as a fast budget 11 inch Android tablet with Samsung One UI, which adds productivity features beyond stock Android and comes with six years of updates. The 128GB storage and 6GB RAM configuration is described as snappy enough for normal tasks, streaming, and everyday use, and the tablet feels faster than the older A9 Plus. The $20 Walmart Cash also applied without Walmart Plus. Main concerns are the TFT display, the modest 6GB memory for long term use, and heavy Samsung bloatware and AppCloud privacy worries. A stronger 8GB version is also mentioned for longer ownership.

OK...

SO APPCLOUD is part of this tablet per google.

AppCloud is a system-level "marketing tool" developed by ironSource, an Israeli software firm that merged with the American company Unity Technologies in late 2022 in a $4.4 billion deal. I DON'T NEED OR WANT ISRAEL OR SOME RANDO AMERICAN COMPANY TO SPY ON ME.

based on user reports and recent investigations, the bloatware known as AppCloud is present on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 in the United States.

Appcloud is a third party user that has a back door to your device. Not sure who this third party is and YES I will BLINDLY TRUST THEM!!!. And if you disable this app, Samsung turns it back on after updates.

The amount of bloatware on Samsung's tablets are EXTREME. To the point where Samsung is considered the bloatware master (that name use to be for Amazon). There is like five time more bloatware on their newer tablets then their older ones from five years ago.

It is the bloatware that scares me to buy any Samsung product today. Especially for their lower end models such as these. I don't think Appcloud is installed on their higher end models.

I personally just don't like the way Samsung is going (with bloatware and their OS is getting bigger and bigger and bigger).

OK...
the December 2025 Android Security Bulletin was a major release that addressed exactly 107 vulnerabilities across the Android ecosystem. THANK YOU GOOGLE.

So what is the problem...
57 Google Patches: Samsung integrated 57 of the vulnerabilities identified by Google into its own December update. BUT THERE ARE 107 VULNERABILITIES... WHY HAS SAMSUNG NOT INSTALLED 50 OF THEM. THIS IS MY PROBLEM!!!
11 Samsung-Specific Fixes: In addition to the Google patches, Samsung added 11 of its own security fixes (SVEs) for vulnerabilities unique to One UI software, such as flaws in the fingerprint system, bootloader, and image codec libraries. THIS IS MY ISSUE, WITH SO MUCH SOFTWARE OF THEIR OWN, THERE SEEMS TO BE MAJOR VULNERABILITIES JUST WITH SAMSUNG'S STUFF... such as LANDFALL from last year. Or the google play store system updated that Samsung has blocked.

Odd... The older a9+ with 8gb of memory seems like a better tablet for less money
Even knowing that one of the tablet's CPU's is about 30% faster... you would still think that the extra 2GB of RAM makes up for the 30% speed shortfall?

Samsung's version of One UI for tablets really elevates the productivity levels above what one gets with vanilla Android. And six years of updates on a tablet at this price level is unheard of.
Why do you think that Samsung's bloatware elevates the product?

It has caused many security updates to never reach Samsung products, it makes security updates super slow, and because of this many times only Samsung devices are vulnerable to exploits due to the amount of bloatware. Their bloatware is also slowing you down. There is the app... APPCLOUD that is suppose to be installed.

Do you know what that bloatware does? Appcloud that is.

AppCloud (and its sister service, Aura) is considered "bad" by privacy experts and power users because it fundamentally changes how your device operates, shifting control away from you and toward advertisers.

I just think everything wrong with Samsung comes from their One UI and from their corporate greed, getting paid by a third party to install advertisement spyware.

You are most certainly entitled to your opinion and I'm sure it's correct for you. However, bloatware by definition is useless features that no one uses or needs. I use nearly every custom feature that One UI provides. Immense added value to the product for me is provided by these features.

If you believe they are bloatware, that's a valid stance to take. That just means Samsung's products are not for you and you should buy something else instead of complaining on the Internet about something that Samsung is never going to change. 🤷

Never going to change? I believe this is the first USA sold tablet with Appcloud pre installed. Look, Samsung JUST CHANGED. Their bloatware has increased like five time between the erra of the Tab S9 and Tab S11.

There is over 180 system apps that were created by Samsung OR THIRD PARTIES. It is hard to believe you use all of them, including the spyware ones... but I guess you have no choose, since it is written within the OS itself and there is no way to get rid of it.

But of the over two hundred additional apps that Samsung installs, which ones do you use? Can you list like ten features that you use that is only found on Samsung tablets?

And their bloatware caused one of the worst vulnerabilities for any device last year... it only effected Samsung. It was a zero click vulnerability called LANDFALL, this was caused by their bloatware!!! You could be breathing air and BOOM, your S25 Ultra just got hacked. This is a direct cause to their bloatware which you feel justified by saying you use ALL THE FEATURES... LIKE ALL OF THEM. This vulnerability was solved in April 2025. BUT the app store system updates is going on right now!!! Samsung is blocking this!!! And is putting your system at risk.

LASTLY... here is a list of SAMSUNG ONLY vulnerabilities due to their bloatware and third party software....
The following are major Samsung-specific vulnerabilities identified or patched between late 2025 and January 2026:

1. Second Image Codec Zero-Day (CVE-2025-21043)
Identified in September 2025, this was a separate zero-day vulnerability in the same library targeted by Landfall (libimagecodec.quram.so).

The Risk: Similar to Landfall, it allowed for Remote Code Execution (RCE) through malicious images.
Status: Patched in the September 2025 security update.

2. Privilege Escalation in Settings (CVE-2026-20969)
A critical vulnerability found in SecSettings, a component unique to Samsung's One UI software.

The Risk: Improper input validation allowed a local attacker to access files with system-level privileges.
Status: Patched in the January 2026 security release.

3. Exynos Processor Vulnerability (CVE-2025-23107)
This flaw specifically affects Samsung's own Exynos 1480 and 2400 processors, used in many international and budget models.

The Risk: A lack of length checks leads to out-of-bounds writes, which can cause system instability or unauthorized code execution.
Status: Addressed in mid-2025.

4. PROCA Driver Exploit (SVE-2025-2103)
This vulnerability exists within the PROCA driver, a core part of Samsung's security architecture.

The Risk: A "Use After Free" flaw that could allow a local attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Status: Patched in January 2026.

5. Carrier Relock Bypass (SVE-2025-2394)
A vulnerability found in the data handling for network restrictions.

The Risk: Allowed physical attackers to bypass Carrier Relock on certain Samsung devices.
Status: Patched in the January 2026 update.

Recent Security Totals (2026)

January 2026 Patch: including 30 Samsung-specific (SVE) items not found in the standard Google Android bulletin. Samsung-Specific Fixes: 34 fixes were proprietary to Samsung... 34 issues but ONLY on a Samsung devices...

30 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE): These specifically targeted One UI and Samsung-only software.
4 Samsung Semiconductor Patches: These addressed hardware-level issues in Samsung's own chips (like Exynos processors).
December 2025 Patch: Addressed 11 Galaxy-specific vulnerabilities alongside 57 general Android fixes (OUT OF 107).

I hate apple. I just want to call it out... that you are buying a tablet that has a back door to a Israeli and us company that will direct advertisements your way based on your actions... who needs this and is this even legal???!!!

There is not that many great alternatives with Android right now. I think you have more choices with the high end models, not the low end models.

Brands I like are...
Lenovo, Google, Oneplus, Alldocube, ZTE's Redmagic, Honor, Lincplus, Teclast and I am sure there are others. The one thing this list has in common is little to zero bloatware.

I personally have a RedMagic Astra Gaming Tablet, my kid has my old Tab S9 and my wife has a cracked chromebook tablet. I also have the alldocube Iplay 60 mini Turbo as a backup tablet.

Feel better? I'm sure Samsung is taking notes and will have all your proposed changes implemented by the end of the week. Awesome job.

Doesn't appear to be any real controversy here, just another bloatware loaded tablet to subsidize an already mediocre price. I mean it's great that it's not $300-400 USD, but not all costs are dollars & cents.

Seems to me the inclusion of appcloud is controversial. But hey, let's argue about semantics if you want.

does this tablet have vibrations? The last samsung tablet I purchased did not have the ability to vibrate and it was a let down (I don't like notification sounds)

It's bloatware, no controversy, and not semantics. You can argue with yourself, and troll on like the other one with gifs, etc.
