First time I purchased from this seller, item arrived broken. They refused to answer any of my messages to them. Had to go through EBay to try and recover money. Still waiting. Would try to find another seller. Their made up warranty is no good if they never contact you back. Worst customer service ever.

I had a Samsung Classic S2 - it stopped being supported 5 years ago.. as in can't even connect it to the gear app at all. So how long until this watch gets the same treatment?

If you want to buy Watch 4 Classic, buy the 46mm version. I had to return the 42mm one because it's battery barely made it to the end of the day. The 46mm version's battery is good for one to one and half day.

Sounds like current version of Wear OS will be the last for the watch.

100%
better processor, more ram, bigger screen, bigger pixel density, BIGGER BATTERY, more OS updates, looks waaaaaay better and more elegant(i own multiple of both) , better looking charging puck , scroll wheel easier to turn.
in my opinion, it is the best looking galaxy watch to date ( I also owned an ultra, returned it) and probably the best one ever, since they completely changed the form factor after this model.
also, the bands for the 6 are the best looking ones and it is the last generation to still be compatible with regular watch bands, the generation after that uses proprietary bands which are harder and more expensie to customize.

although this is a great watch. the only reason to purchase it today, is to use as a trade-in for a newer model. if you buy one of these refurb, fully functional at 40 to 50 bucks, then use it to trade in, they usually give you a trade in credit of 100 to 120 bucks.
plus, you get to keep the charging puck and the watch band.
or if you're in a tight budget or dont care about the greatest and latest, just want something inexpensive, this is a great watch to own, and for the price this is a great deal. i would recommend this as a gym watch. or a beater watch, something that you dont care if it gets damaged.
then get a galaxy s6 classic for looks.
that's what i do. when im in the house, i wear a galaxy 4 classic. i use it when im doing chores or at the gym. then when i leave the house, i wear the nicer looking watch 6 classic, to go out or to go to work, where i know it wont get damaged, and will look crisp for longer.

Galaxy watch 4 was released in 2021 and with 5 years updates and software support from samsung, it might not even last for 12 months before samsung stops providing software updates for the watch and the app that supports this watch.

We're on the 8th generation. And the batteries degrade.
