Insane how much more expensive these monitors are, who's even watching 3d movies on a 27" monitor? I just got a LG Ultragear 34" 240hz 4k 480hz FHD OLED monitor for $800. This 3d monitor has worse specs, is 7" smaller, and isn't even OLED and it's hundreds more. I mean, I guess it's pretty cool that they still make these for those who want them buut man, it's gotta be a really small subset who really would utilize this technology.

Got one, there isn't a lot of fully supported content, it's a total gimmick, but on the other hand -- magical, probably the future as we know it as far technology and entertainment is concerned, it works pretty much exactly as advertised, most people I've showed go, "...woah... " Reach their fingers out and brush the screen of the monitor -- that being said I prefer straight up gaming on a different (slightly bigger, oled) monitor, and I probably wouldn't have been happy with spending full retail on it, but the implementation is less stressful and more organic feeling on my eyes than any VR setup I've tried

TLDR gimmicky but the future is now

I guess if you got money to burn it's worth it lol. I'd like to check it out but not spending a grand on a 27" monitor. At least its 4k. How good is the 3d? better than the glasses kind? Do you have to be sitting really close to it? Maybe I'll buy it and return it lol

3D is quite good. I use it to emulate 3DS games. Needs to be set as the main monitor for it to do 3D, and it auto detects sbs (side by side) content with the 3d program installed.
It's also available on samsung's website for $600 if you have an education discount.
It's honestly great as a 4k monitor on its own, it has local dimming and during the day it's oled-like. Worth $600, yes - $1000, no.

If you have edu benefit, samsung has it for $600 plus a free 24 inch monitor, decent price.

It's been $600 on Samsung's site, if you have EPP

8 edge-lit local dimming zones lmao...so no local dimming since everyone rather have it off.
Not a feature that should be mentioned...jesus not even the common trash 12 edge-lit zones.
