What's the best way of using staples rewards for its value? I know it's stamps for OD rewards.

Find something you need, whether it's paper towels or batteries, etc. price match them to a major retailer, Best Buy, Walmart, Home Depot. Then use rewards to pay.

How many stamps does anyone under the age of 50 use anymore? I think I used 2 stamps the whole last year.

  • Rewards points don't roll, and cannot be used towards gift cards.
  • Price matching (in-store only) is an option for things.
  • Catching a good sale deal on whatever you need (better price than competitors).
  • Clearance. Pretty meh most of the time though.
  • Anything you might be able to flip or use for gifts.
The clerks are always amazed at my points accumulation, if that tells you anything.
It does take some effort.

I use it for the inkjet printer cartridges that I will inevitably need. About the same price at staples than anywhere else, so might as well harvest free pens while I'm at it.

It used to be that there would be good free after rebate deals which let you churn points into cash. Miss those days

If you are participating in a points back deal such as this one, any points you spend towards the purchase will not earn points.
Points are only paid on Out of Pocket Spending, before Tax, Shipping, Coupons, Discounts, Points used, etc...
*Staples Gift card spending is considered Out of Pocket Spending.

Use rewards for Christmas cards. Turbotax, tide, snacks... almost anything that can be pricematched at amazon.

I need a new book of stamps and they are $0.78 each right now. Any chance you'd want to mail a book to a friend for a better deal? If so, feel free to message me!

To be honest, you can buy stamps on ebay for like 20 cents each. Are they forgeries? I have no idea (although you would assume at 20 cents they are). However, the dirty little secret is that even though the Post Office claims they check if the stamps are fake, everyone knows that in reality they don't. I bought my last book of 100 stamps on 12/26/24 for $22.39 on ebay and the first thing I did was test one of them by sending a letter to my mother and it got there just fine.

If you use Coffee kCups, those frequently come on good sale at Staples, as good as other places (you can always price match too if the sale is not great)
