I've had a failure rate of around 20% on these: after 1 or 2 charge-use cycles, they fail to recharge again, and turn into paperweights. Could be my charging cradle, but I don't think it is. The ones that do recharge seem to lose capacity but not very predictably.

I eventually got fed up and bought a bunch of lithium-ion AA/AAA batteries from Costco (Coast brand, recently on sale) that seem more reliable, and have a lifetime warranty.

Also a reminder that for anything super important (i.e. CO detectors) never use rechargeable batteries, always use high-quality single use alkalines.

I've bought these a few times thinking they'd improve. I think only a few lasted more than a year. Not sure how they make them so badly.
