Every one that I've had over the years never fits quite right. They're either too loose and pop off or are too tight and almost impossible to get out. I really like the Atrix ones GameStop sells, they're cheap and work great.

In theory, convenience. No need to remove them, just plug the controller in. Truth be told the controller will work without batteries if you plug it directly into your Xbox. That's what I do.
