They dont seem to be running shoes though based on the company's description of the shoe. I was in for a pair or two before that realization.

Not for running? These good all day standing shoes? Disney/Six Flags/Universal shoes? Trying to find another shoe to add to my rotation for the 12-hr shoes.

Would love to know this answer as well. Anyone have these and can comment based on personal experience?

Most "running" shoes are not designed for running.

Most buyers of "running" shoes are non-runners and shoe companies design their shoes with this in mind.

The fact that they expect men and women to wear the same shoes is a dead giveaway that these are not designed for running. The word "running" is never included in the description. Best use "casual". These shoes are in the "sneaker" section and not the "running shoe" section.

They're running shoes of years past. None of the brands call these remanufacturing of their old shoes as running shoes. The tech is stuck in the past, but if it's what you used and liked they're worth it. It's a 2000 running shoes reintroduced.
Big cloudy shoes are the current trend in running shoes alongside carbon plates if you're an advanced racer. For a good period between the late 2000s and until the mid teens, minimal shoes were the hot trend. Before that, shoes like this reigned supreme. There is a reason you will never see running shoes today that you saw 10 years ago, 15 years ago, 20 years ago. Running tech advances quickly every 6 months to a year.
Comparing this to a pair of on runners, you might be about 2 minutes faster on a mile pr with the modern shoe. You'd need to be younger and a lot lean with the old shoe. You can search running shoes online by years and get reviews and see they all began copying Hoka once they took off. Modern shoes are a lot more comfortable but they can bring a host of other issues in certain individuals. Materials science has advanced a lot but modern shoes wear out faster even if you're a light 140 lb male runner. You trade in 200-300 miles of reliability for more immediate comfort and modern spring and speed.
