Omen fan is louder to me and it's venting to both sides instead of just out the back. I guess it's more venting? I can hear the machine humming even when I walked away. Kind of funny since I haven't had a computer fan come on at my desk for so long.

Double as a hand warmer at my desk since my mouse is near it so my right hand is warm!!!

The Omen having ports like power and HDMI weird too. in the back is a little weird and old style. I did like that Omen had DisplayPort and HDMI (pretty sure I saw both). Lenovo only has HDMI on the left.

Lenovo HAS NO Windows Hello capable camera. wtf right? oh well....

I grabbed this similar config for 2400 (got the 64gb RAM version sold by antonline) from bestbuy and gotta say it's a pretty decent laptop. As for fan noise it doens't seem loud at all compared to the Asus G14 I was using where when running games I would hear a hum over my soundbar but this Legion I don't hear it at all and does hit like 102-105C on the CPU when gaming. Might be my settings where fans aren't running 100 percent? So used to jet engine sounds for fans on laptops and kinda surprised that the legion doesn't sound like jet engines. So far it's pretty good though.

I forgot that you bought the legion pro 7i (5090) version and returned the Omen...😄

I forgot to ask your opinion: Since you had the OMEN and now have the Legion, is the legion worth $200 more (both have the i9, 32gb ram, 5080 but the Legion has only 1tb hd - which for me is ok since i have a new 1 tb sitting here on my desk)??? Since the specs on both are similar, I'm asking more for ux, build quality, etc...TIA!!!!!

I was contemplating getting BB Total, but researched and heard that you can get a plan direct from Lenovo for a lower cost. Lenovo will even reset the warranty date (if it was activated by the original purchaser) to the new purchase date.

I am going to examine the laptop pretty thoroughly and will return if I see any issues.

Gotcha. What I like about BB Total is that mostly everything else that's purchased from BB will get the benefits of extended warranty and repairs. I use my BB total for work and family, so it's a no-brainer for me.

You have fan set on quiet mode I think. Your temps should be 80-90.
